❓ What is CypherScan?

CypherScan is a lightweight command-line tool (CLI) that scans files for malicious code using custom detection rules and static analysis.

It’s ideal for developers, cybersecurity analysts, and privacy-conscious users who want full control over their file security — without bloat or unnecessary background services.

❓ What platforms are supported?

CypherScan Basic v1.0.3 works on:

✅ Linux (Debian, Kali, Ubuntu…)

✅ macOS

Only Python 3.8 or higher is required.

❓ Do I need an internet connection to use CypherScan?

Only for the initial download. Once installed, CypherScan runs entirely offline. You can scan files, generate reports, and use all features without being connected to the internet.

❓ How do I install CypherScan?

Download and extract the .zip file you receive after purchase.

Open a terminal in the folder.

Run:

python cypherscan.py

You’ll be prompted to enter your license key. After activation, you're ready to scan.

❓ How do I activate my license?

You’ll receive a unique license key with your purchase on Gumroad. This key identifies your copy and is intended for personal or commercial use on one device.

❓ Can I install it on multiple computers?

Each lifetime license is valid for one user on one device.

❓ What if I lose my license key?
